Farmers' Market Season

Spring is right around the corner and with it comes farmers' market season. This year we will be attending many of the regional summer markets, as well as the year round Kingsland Market in South Calgary. We also currently have a booth setup at the Calgary Farmers' Market, which we will be attending until the end of June this year. For those of you looking for an excuse to get out of the city and enjoy some delicious mead and fresh country air, our Farm Gate Store is, as always, open to the public Saturdays and Sundays all year round. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Fallentimber Meadery

Thanks to all of your support, we had a blockbuster year in 2011 and we've got big plans for 2012! This year we intend to double our annual production and focus on distributing through more liquor stores around the province. As of last count, Fallentimber Mead was available in more than 50 liquor stores in Alberta and we look forward to expanding our reach with even more throughout the course of the year. We're also putting aside more time to attend a number of premiere wine, beer, food, art and music events in our area. These will include, among others, Winefest in Edmonton and Calgary, and Calgary International Beerfest, where we were thrilled to receive last year's Silver Medal for People's Choice Alternative Beverage.

The new year also brings with it some new product offerings, namely our 1st Anniversary addition Sack Mead which was released last fall and which we believe is among our best offerings to date. You can also expect to see our first cyser (the love child of a traditional mead and a dry cider) on the shelves by the beginning of summer.

So here's to another great year and we look forward to providing you with more variety and even better quality mead in months to come!
